About the Kindergarten

HaBayit on Rothschild is an early childhood kindergarten inspired by the kibbutz model and guided by a broad educational and cultural philosophy.

At the heart of this approach are the nurturing of friendship, mutual respect, sensitivity and helping others, together with the encouragement of cooperation, initiative, curiosity, creativity, original thinking, independence and personal responsibility. These values are woven into the kindergarten’s daily routine and form a natural part of its educational practice.

Each year, during the intermediate days of Passover, our website is updated and a new registration process begins for the following school year.

Families who are interested in joining the kindergarten, or who would simply like to receive further information at any time during the year, are warmly invited to send us an initial introductory email at:

In your message, please include:

• The parents’ names and family name

• A few words about yourselves — anything you would like to share

• Your child’s date of birth

• How and where you heard about the kindergarten

• Whether you have visited the kindergarten before

We will do our best to respond to every inquiry as soon as possible.

An Initial Visit to the Kindergarten

This is a very brief visit that takes place at the beginning of the kindergarten day, at 8:00 a.m.

The visit offers a first glimpse of the kindergarten and an opportunity to experience its atmosphere and general spirit.

Since the kindergarten is already in session during the visit, we are unable to answer detailed questions or engage in an extended conversation at that time.

Questions are addressed by email and/or during the personal introductory meeting, which takes place close to the registration period.

Families who have sent an introductory message, visited the kindergarten and would like to continue with the registration process are invited to express their interest in writing so that a personal introductory meeting can be arranged.

Each personal introductory meeting, attended by the child’s parents and the kindergarten teacher, lasts approximately one hour.

The purpose of the meeting is to get to know one another in a personal and informal setting and to have an open conversation about the kindergarten.

The initial stages of the introduction process are intended for parents only.

All children are wonderful, delightful and, from the outset, entirely welcome and suitable. :)
